1. How long can I have the Chocolate Fountain at my event?
In addition to the standard rental plans we offer extra time can be purchased. Also, at the party if it looks like it will run longer than expected, you can still arrange extra time during the event as well.

2. What dipping items can be used with the Fountain?
You are only limited by your imagination. If the item can not be dipped into the fountain we have 2 attendants that we gladly ladle chocolate onto any delight you desire. We discourage any items that have a crumb. They clog up the fountain and can cause damage to it. Items such as pound cake, cookies and bananas we recommend a ladling service by the attendants for these items. Buffet items are listed on tab labeled 'What You Get' as well.

3. Who provides the dipping items?
We offer to provide the desserts, pastries and dipping items. Our own certified culinarian will design the fruit tree and buffet all at reasonable prices. Our buffet serving platters are the highest quality Wilton Armentle silver platters, glass and silver cakes risers and we offer formal presentations. This is your big day, don't settle for less than the best buffet presentation. You can also have your own caterer provide the buffet items as well.

4. Can I use the chocolate fountain in place of the groom's cake?
Absolutely, many of our brides have chosen to replaced their groom's cake with the chocolate fountain. The buffet offers a genuine Belgian chocolate experience along with a variety of fruit, pastry and dry items that can satisfy a much wider range of taste and dietary requirements. Our semi sweet chocolate has defined health benefits that doctors have recognized. Who needs all the extra buttercream in a grooms cake. Our chocolate is a genuine Belgian chocolate and recognized as the highest quality chocolate.

5. What are the table and electrical requirements for the Chocolate Fountain?
Since the Dessert Carnival's chocolate fountains weigh approximately 85 pounds empty, a level and sturdy table is a must. With our full service rental service we require a minimum of a single skirting and a single to the floor size table linen each fountain rented. These can be rented from your local party rental service. We require a 120 VAC / 20 Amp outlet preferably within 15 feet of the fountain location.

6. What areas does Dessert Carnival service?
Dessert Carnival provides fountains for events almost anywhere in Central Texas including Austin and San Antonio. A travel fee may be required for some areas if we are not providing the buffet service. Please call or email us for details.

7. Can the Chocolate Fountain be used outdoors?
No. Due to the unpredictable elements of Mother Nature we do not permit an outdoor fountain. This is your day and a very special event, we do not want to take any chances.

8. Are reservations and a deposit required?
We require a reservation, a signed contract and a $150.00 for a large fountain, $50 for a small fountain deposit at the time of booking. The balance of your payment is due at least 14 days prior to the scheduled date of your event. If you need a fountain and time is short we can help. We also can provide invoicing service with net 30 as well. Call for details or to get setup for our express rental services.

9. Where can I get a prices for my event from Dessert Carnival?
Prices are listed on our website. The only variation would be for a resale or tax exempt organization. If you are tax exempt, enter your State of Texas code on the contract the fax it to us. Please call ahead when faxing.

10. What methods of payment are accepted?

We accept payments by check. As a convenience to our customers, you can 'Save the Date' using a credit card. We accept all major credit cards via Paypal. We also can provide invoicing net 30 for wedding professional services.
